I open up the windows to let in the rain
The sound is deafening
But unlike most loud noises I don't mind it
We lay on the grass until every inch of our bodies were drenched
And smiled the whole time
Like it was a normal thing to do
When I buy my kids a trampoline you should come over 
And we'll watch the stars on top of it
Together
Fall asleep in the garden 
Like we never did all those years ago
Too afraid of all the foxes and bad men in Grandma's stories
They all turned out to be true 
Like Little Red 
And Bluebeard 
And the girl who fell for you.
